Luna Community College will hold a board of trustees election on Tuesday, March 3, 2015. Three of the seven district board seats are up for election. The three districts are: District 2, District 4 and District 6. Candidates may declare their candidacy on Wednesday, Jan. 14 at the San Miguel County Clerk’s office or at their respective county clerk’s office. Write-in candidates may declare on Tuesday, Jan. 27 at the San Miguel County Clerk’s office or at their respective county clerk’s office. Individuals may register to vote on or before Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2015 at the following county clerk’s offices: San Miguel, Guadalupe, Colfax, Union or Mora County. Absentee voting will take place from Friday, Feb. 6 through Friday Feb. 27 at the San Miguel, Guadalupe, Colfax and Mora County Clerk’s office. Voters are asked to check with their respective county clerk’s office for precinct and polling places. The term of the board of trustees is six years.
