FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepares and presents classroom lectures and implements techniques to facilitate student active learning; prepares and grades tests and student outcome assessments; participates in program and curriculum development.
Conducts one-to-one clinical supervision of students in skill labs and one to eight clinical supervision health care agencies; assesses clients for student clinical assignments and nursing care plan review; coordinates with community health care agencies to facilitate student clinical experiences.
Provides student counseling and advising on topics including registration, degree audits, individual tutoring, referrals and student problem behavior
Conducts ongoing research to maintain currency in health care delivery systems, practices, treatments, drugs, technology, etc.; participates on assigned committees and in professional development workshops and conferences.
Knowledge of computers and technological resources is required.
Master’s degree in Nursing preferred or Bachelors degree in Nursing accepted but must complete Masters degree within 3 years of date of hire; and three (3) years of family nursing or related nursing experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of New Mexico. Must have a valid New Mexico Drivers License.
Salary is based on the LCC salary schedule and is commensurate with education and occupational-related experience. Standard LCC benefits apply.
