Under limited supervision, provides a variety of specialized support services to students and prospective students as related to assigned student services work unit or program.

Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides a variety of student services in support of a designated program function(s); provides information, verifications and certifications for athletics, including but not limited to the process for admissions, enrollment, transcripts, registration, financial aid and testing; provides general information about the Institute and information about college policy and procedures.
Interacts closely with all members of the Athletic department; maintains student files and reviews files for eligibility based on NJCAA rules and regulations; assures that all NJCAA requirements are in compliance; prepares appropriate correspondence to applicants, prepares student files and maintain placement records. Monitor students in program of study, college/program requirements and transfer requirements to and from other post-secondary institutions.
Conducts athletic orientation on main campus, verifying accuracy of information; receives and obtains required documentation and signatures; processes add/drops and withdrawals and course offering requests, and updates audit forms. Directs students to the department that can assist them in the completion of financial aid forms. Inform students of career fairs and orientations. Establish and maintain relationships with businesses and community resources for the purpose of job development and placement for students.
Assist with the completion of student admission forms in compliance with NJCAA rules and regulations. Creates and maintains electronic, and hard records and verifies accuracy of information; creates and maintains transcripts for every student using various student and college-provided data; provides information to others as appropriate according to college policy and procedures; serves as a resource to assist students, staff, faculty and various departmental personnel in resolving procedural problems using knowledge of a designated specialized function(s); responds to technical questions, ensuring necessary follow up is performed; provides office support to the work unit.
Other Duties as assigned: I.E. (Board Meetings, Committees, Trainings, radio and Interviews).
Knowledge, Skills and Other Characteristics:
Knowledge of general office support practices and procedures.
Knowledge of policies, practices, procedures and terminology of assigned function.
Knowledge of a variety of computer software, including word processing, database and spreadsheet applications.
Knowledge in NJCAA rules and regulations.
Knowledge of records processing and maintenance procedures and systems.
Skill in English composition, grammar and punctuation.
Skill composing letters and preparing reports, using appropriate format and computer software.
Skill designing and maintaining filing/records systems.
Skill following oral and written instructions and procedures.
Skill operating typical office equipment, including personal computer and standard office computer programs.
Skill communicating orally and in writing.
Skill establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other employees and the public.
Typical office environment
Bachelor’s degree; and two (2) years of responsible experience providing direct customer service and office support; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Salary is based on the LCC salary schedule and is commensurate with education and occupational-related experience. Range 25 ($24,349 to $29,682) Standard LCC benefits apply.
