Duties and responsibilities:

DEFINITION:

Under limited supervision, this position will report to the Vice President of Academics.

At the discretion of the immediate supervisor other job related duties may be assigned as necessary.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Develops, oversees, and coordinates with the Superintendent and Principals of the Pecos Independent School District and the VP of Academics of LCC or lateral coordination with Academic Directors for all academic programs in the Pecos area. Conducts periodic site visits with students that travel to LCC and to ensure that compass tests are conducted and that student needs are being met. Responsible for fostering harmonious and effective relationships among faculty, staff, student consumers and other constituents to accomplish activity goals and objectives. Coordinates activities with faculty and professional staff involved with resource development.

Develops and disseminates accurate and timely information regarding program development and activities. Surveys and projects educational needs in the adult population in Pecos. Provides end-of-semester and end-of-year reports detailing student education to VP of Academics.

Duties include managing programs and institutional relationships; collaborating with others in designing programs for major events. This includes coordinating closely with LCC Program Coordinators and Directors to implement student and program activities with departments at the LCC Main Campus and the Pecos site.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Typical office environment and some travel is required.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.

Salary:

Salary is based on the LCC salary schedule and is commensurate with education and occupational-related experience.
