Lady Rough Riders advance in Region 9 Tournament

Luna Community College’s softball team beat Western Nebraska 9-7 in the third round of the Region 9 Softball Tournament. The Lady Rough Riders play Trinidad State at 6 p.m. today in the fourth round of the tourney.

I’m happy for our team,” said Luna Head Coach Randy Krutsch. “They have worked hard for this. We’re guaranteed fourth place which is the highest placement in school history and we’re happy for the Luna community.

Trinidad State is the second seed. Luna is the fifth seed.
