Luna’s Community Kitchen grand opening scheduled for Sept. 27
A grand opening for Luna Community College’s Community Kitchen is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 27 at the college.
As part of the event, there will be kitchen tours, door prizes, food trucks and access to business resources.
The LCC Community Kitchen provides a turnkey rental facility to entrepreneurs, culinary professional and community members. The kitchen will be maintained to Environment Department and State of New Mexico standards. In addition, the LCC Community Kitchen will serve people interested in food production, small business owners and startups. The LCC Community Kitchen will also be available for instructors who want to teach culinary classes. Luna is seeking to serve Las Vegas, Mora and northeastern New Mexico communities.
Luna’s Community Kitchen features a commercial stainless steel fryer, Royal 6 Burner Stove; Toastmaster Warmer; Stainless Steel Serving Line, Stainless Steel Prep Line, Hobart Meat Chopper, Market Forge Two Drum Mixer, two Hobart Stainless Steel Meat Slicers; Marathoner Gold Oven, Blakeslee Commercial Mixer, three Compartment Cleaning Sinks and a washer and dryer.
The home style kitchen features commercial lab tables with imperial burners, large pots and pans, mixing bowls, cutting boards, measuring spoons, measuring cups, cooking utensils, cutting knives, cooking lab coats and aprons, compartment cleaning sink soap and sanitizing solutions, cooking sheets and rack, marathoner gold convection oven, Cleveland Range Cooking Pot, Steam Master Rapid Steamer and Groen Steamer, commercial stainless steel fryer, flat iron grill, Imperial 6 Burner Stove, Hobart Mixer and Kitchen Aide mixers, Somerset automatic mixers and rollers, rolling pins, French rolling pins, Kitchen Aide table top mixers, baking pans and sheets, food scales and processor and a True refrigerator commercial fridge.
