Rough Rider athletics to have Luna Employee, Community Appreciation Day on Nov. 6

The Rough Rider Athletic Department will be having a Luna Employee, Community Appreciation Day at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 6 at the Highlands baseball and softball fields.

This will be a great opportunity for Luna employees and the community to meet and interact with Luna softball and baseball players as well as coaches.

Luna will be having an intra-squad scrimmage in baseball with the Lady Rough Riders scrimmaging a select softball team from Albuquerque that morning. Individuals will be allowed to talk to players and coaches in the dugout and stay and watch the games.

“Our athletic program plays a major part at Luna and in our community,” said Luna Athletic Director Carl Vigil. “We feel it is important for our student-athletes and coaches to get to know our faculty, staff and our community better. Our student-athletes work hard both on the practice field and in the classroom and are proud to represent Luna and Las Vegas.”
