Luna Community College's Rough Rider Mentorship Program provides students with a centrally located "3rd place" where they can learn more about college-going behaviors, enjoy fun extra-curricular activities, and have a safe space outside of school and home to spend time. Students are able to tour our campuses, see demonstrations of our programs, and meet the actual people behind the scenes who make Luna run. All in all, Luna's Mentorship program is a safe, unassuming way for students to learn more about what we have to offer, building up student confidence, and demystifying what it really takes to go to college.
After School Program
We offer After-School Programs at our Main Las Vegas Campus and at all of our satellite campuses and sites. Days and meeting times vary from to location to location, but all sites have several things in common: Qualified teachers, fun activities, homework help, and a relaxed atmosphere for students to make new friends and hang out with old ones. We also provide snacks and drinks. All of our offerings are free of charge, so students only have to worry about a ride to and from to the program, and having fun when they get there. While our After-School Program is meant to support students during the school year, our summer bridge program allows students a chance to really experience what Luna Community College is about. Offered both onsite throughout the summer at our main Las Vegas campus and our Springer and Santa Rosa Satellites, and our Mora site, we also provide a culmination event at our Main Campus in June that allows students from all of our area campuses to come together, tour the campus, meet teachers, administrators etc. and learn about the many programs we offer. Plans for the 2026 Summer Bridge Program are underway. Please check back in the Spring for the official schedule.

LCC's Future Rough Rider Mentorship and College Readiness Program provides helpful information on a wide variety of topics meant to assist students in better preparing for their futures, no matter if they want to attend college or not. The goal is to familiarize students with terminology and concepts associated with higher education and to help them better navigate that system.
