At Luna Community College, we know that being a successful student means having your basic needs met. It is hard to focus on a midterm exam or a lab assignment when you are worried about secure housing, keeping the lights on, or finding your next meal.

If you or your family are experiencing financial hardship, housing insecurity, or food scarcity, you do not have to carry that burden alone. This directory connects Luna students with vital community resources, emergency grant pathways, and local non-profit assistance programs in Las Vegas and the surrounding San Miguel County area designed to help keep you safe, housed, and healthy.

On Campus

Tienditas

Luna offers all students and staff access to Food Pantries (Tienditas) around the campus. They contain a variety of food items, snacks, and produce. Tienditas are located in the Cafeteria, Administration Building, and second floor of the Student Services Building.  This is free for all students, please sign in on the provided sheet with your Luna ID # and the number of items taken at each visit.

Luna Eats

The Luna Eats program provides freshly cooked, hot lunches every Monday and Wednesday from Noon - 1 pm in the Cafeteria.  Providing these hot lunches helps provide healthy meals to our community as well as giving everyone time to relax and enjoy a meal in our cafeteria.  Keep an eye out for updates to our Luna Eats program via your Luna email.
