The Academic Center for Excellence (ACE) is here for you!! The ACE is here to offer free tutoring services for all LCC students. The ACE team is a great program that focuses on your academic success. The ACE tutors are available to help in any subject area you are struggling in. The goal is to assist any students needing help in classes but also provide a safe and comfortable place to study, socialize, and enjoy your college experience. The ACE Lab’s main priority is to empower students and help you excel academically in order to become the best possible student you can be.
The ACE, located in the Student Services Building 204, is responsible for coordinating the tutoring services throughout campus. We have tutors in all areas of study and our tutors are experienced in Luna courses. The ACE is student-driven, using student input to schedule and facilitate our tutoring services and provides integrated student support services that build on your strengths and interests.

ACE Tutors
Tutors at the ACE will provide one-on-one or group tutoring for all areas of study throughout the day. STEM tutors are available to help in math and science courses, Allied Health tutors are able to assist in A&P and other allied health courses, and Humanities tutors can assist with English Composition courses, Criminal Justice courses, History or help with scholarship and resume writing as well as any other Humanities courses. Our tutors are often times embedded within the courses to assist in class and stay consistent with instructor lessons. Tutors work closely with faculty and other staff to provide the best possible tutoring services. Tutors are also available for online tutoring during their scheduled hours. Simply email a tutor and thy will respond to set up an in person or online session. A tutoring schedule will be posted for each semester showing times, subject area and emails for online tutoring. Tutors are located in the Student Services Building 204. (Luna’s main campus).
Academic Coaching
At the ACE, you will find assistance in setting career goals and accommodate the changing dynamics of your interests. We will assist you in examining your learning style, habits of working and current difficulties or barriers to success. Through a supportive relationship, we will heighten your awareness of what it takes to achieve academic success and help you develop new strategies and personal responsibility habits.
Educational Resources
The ACE provides students with computers to access Blackboard, math-labs and online class sessions, as well as calculators and spare textbooks. At the ACE, studying is facilitated through faculty members, peer tutors, and the ACE Coordinator who help students navigate successfully through the institution of higher education.
The ACE provides information on internships and scholarships to help students excel in their chosen fields.
The ACE Lab is located in the Student Services Building in the middle of campus and open to all students
