Rough Riders take over first place in Region 9 South standings

Congratulations to the Luna baseball team who took over first place in the Region 9 South Baseball standings after defeating Trinidad State 8-2, 11-1 and 13-8 at home over the weekend. The Rough Riders are 13-14 in conference play; Trinidad State (12-14), Otero College (11-16) and Lamar Community College (9-18) are second, third and fourth in the standings, respectively. The Rough Riders are scheduled to play Lamar Community College on the road this weekend.

“We will be playing our last home games of the regular season in Albuquerque against Otero College on Saturday, April 29 and Sunday April 30,” said Luna Baseball Coach Harry Estep.
