Students learn skills during recent Future Nurse Camp

High school students, Angelina Silva from Santa Rosa High School, Joslyne Garcia from Pecos High School, and Jaylyn Garcia from Robertson High School, start out their four-day participation in Luna’s Future Nurse Camp, recently, by taking a tour of the nursing department with Luna Director of Nursing, Maxine Hughes.*

Students in Luna’s Future Nurse Camp practice CPR on a mannequin, one of three activities that they engaged in during the four-day camp. Other activities included a simulation experience and learning to take vital signs as well as a short course in medical terminology.
