Double digit enrollment growth at Luna this fall!


Las Vegas, NM - Luna Community College is pleased to announce a significant increase in its Fall 2025 enrollment, a testament to its commitment to serving the community. The College’s Board of Trustees and President Carol Linder are delighted to see such strong growth, which reflects the dedication of the entire Luna Community College community.

Luna Community College witnessed a 10% increase in full-time enrollees and an overall 8% increase in total enrollment from 2024. This increase is in large part due to a 16% rise in certificate-seeking students. Certificate programs at Luna Community College include: Allied Health, Automotive Collision Repair, Automotive Technology, Barbering, Computer Application Specialist, Cosmetology, Criminal Justice, Cybersecurity, Culinary Arts, Dental Assisting, Early Childhood Development, Emergency Medical Technician - Basic, Drawing and Painting, Small Business Management, Welding, and General Education.

Allied Health and Humanities programs witnessed a double-digit increase in enrollment from Fall 2024, with a 13% increase in Allied Health majors and a 10% increase in students majoring in Humanities disciplines. The Departments of Business, Nursing, Career and Technical Education, and Education also saw increases in enrollment, ranging from 3-6% respectively.

“This increase is rewarding for Luna,” said Vice President of Instruction and Student Services, Dr. Henrietta Romero. “We are continually working to make sure our programs serve our students and our communities. This growth in enrollment is a positive result of that effort. With our wonderful staff and faculty, we are able to come together to broaden the offerings in our programs and continue to aim high for continued program growth. Our continued efforts and partnerships help us grow in the ever-changing world of higher education.”
