La Noche de las Luminarias
Luna Community College to host “La Noche de las Luminarias” on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2025
Las Vegas, N.M. – November 26, 2025
Continuing a beloved campus and community tradition, Luna Community College will host “La Noche de las Luminarias” on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2025, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on the Las Vegas campus. The free, family-friendly event will feature thousands of luminarias and holiday light displays throughout campus, creating a warm and festive welcome to the holiday season.
Designed as a drive-through luminaria tour, “La Noche de las Luminarias” will guide motorists along a designated route beginning at the top campus gates. Guests who wish to experience the displays on foot will also be welcome in clearly marked pedestrian areas.
As in past years, the luminaria drive is a campus-wide effort, bringing together faculty, staff, and student clubs to prepare and light thousands of luminarias and other holiday displays across the grounds.
Luna Community College will again coordinate the event to complement the Las Vegas Electric Light Parade, allowing families to enjoy both celebrations in one evening and helping to kick off the holiday season in northern New Mexico.
“La Noche de las Luminarias showcases the spirit and strength of Luna,” said Luna Community College President Dr. Carol Linder. “As we continue to grow and build new opportunities for students, events like this remind us of the importance of connection, tradition, and community pride.”
Luna Community College is located at 366 Luna Drive, north of Hot Springs Boulevard and accessible from N.M. 65.
