Luna Art Instructor Featured in Albuquerque Gallery Show ‘Women’s Work’

Press Release

Las Vegas, NM - March 6, 2026

Artist and Luna Community College art instructor Leota Brigida Harriman will have a piece featured in a juried show at Ghostwolf Gallery in Old Town
Albuquerque. This marks the third time Harriman’s art has been featured at the gallery.

The annual show, Women’s Work, will open March 10, with an opening reception on March 14, and will remain on display until a closing reception on April 3. This year, approximately 340 works of art were submitted by 122 women.

“We also focus on inclusiveness in this particular exhibition, and after donating one of my own walls at the gallery, I managed to get 47 women into the show,” said gallery owner Amy Ditto, who is also the president of the Albuquerque Art Business Association.

“Ghostwolf Gallery is a little bit farther for me to get to since relocating back to Las Vegas a few years ago,” Harriman said, “but it’s a great gallery with an impressive range of artwork, and I’m very pleased to be represented in the Women’s Work show again this year.”

Harriman, who works primarily in watercolor, inks, and water-based mixed media, began as a fine art instructor at Luna Community College in the fall of 2025.

“I’m fulfilling a lifelong dream of making a living as an artist which makes me happy because I think the world needs the healing power of art more than ever,” she said.

“We are incredibly proud of Leota Harriman for being selected for Women’s Work at Ghostwolf Gallery,” said Luna President Dr. Carol Linder. “In a highly competitive juried exhibition, this recognition speaks to her artistic excellence and professional standing. Our students benefit tremendously from learning alongside faculty who are actively engaged in the broader arts community.”
