Filing date for Luna board Aug. 27
All seven seats on the Luna Community College Board of Trustees are up for election in November.
Those seeking election to the board must file with the county clerk’s office of the county — San Miguel, Guadalupe, Mora, Colfax or Union— in which they reside between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27. That date will be the only day on which candidates may file.
Positions in districts one, three, five and seven will be for six-year terms. Positions in districts two, four and six are for two-year terms. To be eligible to run for a board position, an individual must be a qualified elector and a resident of the district they intend to represent.
