2020 Census Information

We are in the final stretch for Census 2020 outreach with just over 8 days remaining. I would like to remind everyone about the census code. Students and employees can text “Census help” to 313131 for assistance with completing the census over the phone.

There is also more information below.

The U.S. Census Bureau has asked the college to remind both students and employees that the 2020 Census Questionnaire can be filled out on the link below. The last day to fill out the 2020 Census Questionnaire is Wednesday, Sept. 30.

The census is a simple 10 question form.

Who Should Be Counted and Where?

You should be counted where you are living and sleeping most of the time as of April 1, 2020. If you are responding for your home, count everyone who lives and sleeps there most of the time as of April 1, 2020. This includes young children, foster children, roommates, and any family members or friends who are living with you, even temporarily.

By law, the U.S. Census Bureau can use your responses only to produce statistics. 2020 Census results will help in directing billions of dollars in federal funds to communities for schools, roads, and other public services. Results from the 2020 Census will also help to determine the number of seats that each state has in Congress.

For questions about responding to the 2020 Census, call 844-330-2020 from 7 a.m. to 1 a.m. Eastern time.
