Attention students and employees
The following message is being sent on behalf of Luna President Dr. Edward Martinez.
Luna Community College satellites in Springer and in Santa Rosa are open during regular business hours, Monday thru Friday. If students or faculty need a place to work, they are welcome to use the space at these two satellite locations.
Mora has been evacuated and the Luna Community College site in Mora is closed. As soon as the community is open and the site can be evaluated for safety, it will reopen. The Luna Community College Las Vegas campus has also been evacuated and will reopen as soon as it is considered safe to do so. Luna has secured space at Highlands from which to continue Luna Community College operations.
Classes being offered at and delivered from Springer and Santa Rosa will continue as usual through the end of the semester. Other classes may need to be delayed or completed virtually. Students should contact their instructors to find out how to complete their classes.
Regardless of class location, students impacted by the wildfires should contact their instructors to make arrangements for completing the semester.
