Anthony Baca bringing back car show to Luna

After a three-year hiatus, Luna Auto Collision Instructor Anthony Baca is bringing back the car show. A longtime staple of the college, the car show was put on the shelf for the last few years because of pandemic restrictions.

Vehicles such as these will be showcased at the Luna Car Show that is scheduled to take place on Saturday, July 23 at the main campus.

“We are so happy to bring back Luna’s Car Show,” said Baca. “The community was missing it and this year was a good time to have it. It’s a popular event for a big segment of our service area.”

Baca said that the 16th Annual Car Show will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 23 on the main campus in Las Vegas. There is no admission charge for the public. Set up time for the car show is from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.

A $20 fee is required for each vehicle entered. Entries will be received until the day of the event. All entries will qualify for door prize drawings. “I’m inviting all car enthusiasts to participate in this event,” said Baca. “Las Vegas and the surrounding communities have always supported our car show and we appreciate all that they do for us.”

Several Luna faculty and staff will have informational booths highlighting the College. Not only will the public get an opportunity to see a great car show, if they choose to, they will be able to get to see what the College has to offer as well.

Several food vendors will also be at the event.

“We invite everyone to join us,” said Baca. “There will be one-of-a-kind vehicles that are absolutely amazing.”

The Car Show is open to all makes, years and models of trucks, cars, motorcycles and bicycles.
